About The Artist

Through the use of light and color, I work to portray the way I see, and feel about the natural world.  My favorite subjects are landscapes, horses, and animals in general. I paint primarily in oils and pastels.  I love both mediums.  Pastels are “eye candy."  They are immediate, and vibrant in color.  Oils allow such a subtle use of color, and the ability to mix endless colors and beautiful grays.

I have always loved the outdoors. I have ridden horse most of my life, since in Bethesda, Maryland. First and foremost, I create art, whether they are paintings, photographs, hand-pulled prints, or drawings. The subject needs to be something that speaks to me, and triggers my creative attention. I hope to pass the emotions and passion that I feel when I paint, to other people viewing my artwork.

"Every artist dips his brush in his own soul, and paints his own nature into his paintings.”
